Extremly disappointing to find that I need to set up the whole thing again from scratch after updating the theme. Very disappointing not to get a warning about this prior to updating, and since found so, sales have fallen off a cliff so no doubt it's not the only thing that is broken but we're yet to find out what the problem is. Why do these companies feel the need to constantly update? It's time consuming and often creates more problems than it solves.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand the disappointment. After theme updates, you may need to re-enable Inbox in your theme editor under App embeds. Go to Online Store > Themes > Edit theme > App embeds > Shopify Inbox to verify it's on. For help, visit help.shopify.com/support.

AI Responses won't stop, even after disabling automatic replies.

Hi Joe. Thanks for flagging this. AI-generated replies are a separate setting from automatic replies. In Inbox, open Settings > Message preferences and switch "Automatically generate a reply" to Off. If they keep coming after that, reach us at help.shopify.com/support and we'll dig in.

Poor implementation. Poor customisation such a notification type or sound. Often no notification notice on the app when a message comes in and no notification whatsoever on a desktop computer. Lost more customers since enabling it than I have gained. Left the above review in 2021. Fast forward to 2023 and it is worse than ever. Now it is not possible to search for products from within the app to provide those links to customers. Shopify customer support is useless.
