Wow. ridiculously expensive. all I wanted is an app to have a watch key like I did with the Tesla app on iPhone. But 7 a month or a whopping 200 for lifetime!? What happened to the times where you could just buy an app? EVERYTHING is a sub model now, it's exhausting. I don't want to trip track or any of that fluff, just a fricken watch key. guess I'll wait for Tesla to release an android watch key.

Totally get the subscription fatigue. But Tessie isn’t priced around one feature. Watch key is included alongside tracking, automations, analytics, ongoing updates, and the Tesla data fees that come with keeping a Tesla-connected app running. Lifetime is there for owners who’d rather buy once.

Downloaded the app and was immediately presented with a subscription page, with no free option to explore how it works. There is a 14-day trial, but many people (myself included) aren’t comfortable subscribing straight away and then needing to remember to cancel. A basic free tier with limited features would make this much more approachable.

I understand the hesitation, but due to Tesla data access fees a free version isn’t viable. That’s why we offer a 14-day full trial.
