Data security and authorisations.
What permissions does SBB Mobile need and why?

Location
For connections from your current location, the GPS function must be activated so that SBB Mobile can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.

Calendar and e-mail
You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Mobile requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.

Access to the camera
SBB Mobile requires access to your camera to take pictures directly in the app for your personalised touch timetable.

Internet access
SBB Mobile requires internet access to search the timetable as well as for ticket purchases.

Memory
To support offline functions, e.g. station/stop list, connections (history) and purchased tickets, SBB Mobile requires access to your device’s memory (saving app-specific settings).

Literally the greatest app ever made. Let all app design teams look to this app for inspiration in its speed, variety of options, and depth of information. The user can put in starting and destination points and instantly see a wide variety of options and details down to maps showing how to move from one platform to the connecting train's platform as well as options like extending transfer times. I would love to have the option to consider connecting trains separately, but it is great as is.

Great app overall, but I can't give 5 stars until the whole reservation system is changed. On trains, the current mixed system does not work, especially on long distance trains it is extremely frustrating to have to find seats that are not reserved. Can't you introduce a system where you have clearly marked reservation-only and no-reservation wagons?

Thank you for your feedback and kind words about the app. Please note that we only handle seat reservations via our channel and are not responsible for the current reservation system itself. Does your comment refer to national or international long-distance trains? Currently, there is no fixed separation between reserved and non-reserved coaches.

I'm a software engineer and I found so many bugs, this apps was a nightmare! is really hard to buy tickets with errors that doesn't say anything! I tried with at least 5 different ways ans carsa, maps and zones are no correct, you can buy twice the same tickets without warnings, and the user interface can be confused when the routes are displayed

Hello. Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to read about your negative experience. Over half a million tickets are sold every day through SBB Mobile. So, in general, the system works well. Unfortunately, I can’t provide a more specific answer because I don’t have further details about the purchases you’re referrin. Kind regards.
