refreshing puzzle set that doesn't become jaded I don't really play any full length games but I enjoy puzzles there is a good enough selection that this app with extra puzzles remains engaging I've gone through lots of puzzle apps and a lot of them become tiresome after a while. The only real contender are Go puzzles if you can grasp the fiendishly clever strategy masked by the deceptively simple rules.

this is one of my favorite chess puzzles apps. i like the daily puzzles, love the easy, medium, and hard levels but also the tactics puzzles. then they have progress mode which adds another layer of challenge. their interface is great and the app is very smooth. i had used this a few years ago and redownload it and started over. highly recommend

Update 2 years later: These guys make really useful little chess apps. This is a great offline tactics trainer and in my opinion the pro version is totally worth it. I've bought the full version of this and the opening app they have. The assortment of puzzles are great for all rating types and I've been using the woodpecker method on the easy tactics as a way to stay tactically sharp during quicker time formats. Lovely job as always LR Studios
