Best map for Android Auto and navigation is good. Problems in the app all revolve around address searches. Many destinations are not in its database and if you don't know the number and street address, you're out of luck finding a destination. Adding favorites is also a problem; I still can't figure out how to add a favorite. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and drive a 2021 Honda CRV E-XL.

it's advertising as free open source maps, but usage is restricted and not free Android Auto implementation as free maps..Thanks for free ride! Just discovered new facts : every update counts against allowed "free" download. So you still consider this maps as "free"? Please give me a break 🙏 Just to say thanks for developers fast response on my "review ", it's just my thoughts on app, and I still can't recommend to anyone who is looking for free off-line maps ! Wasting of the time!

Hello Andy! Thank you for the feedback. As mentioned, map downloads are not free. You can use the OpenStreetMap online layer for free, but search, navigation, and most app features rely on offline maps that are prepared for offline use and stored on OsmAnd servers.

It used to be a 3.5/4 but a recent update hid Android Auto behind a paywall, making the app almost useless for my use case. It's a serviceable Google Maps replacement, but can be a little clunky. The UI is fine, there's a LOT of information you can get but also hide, the search is alright (I found some missing businesses and buildings that have been there for years, but that's not OsmAnd's fault). Not having Google's business info hits very hard as sometimes a business is just "restaurant".
