Heartrate won't update. Have to tap on the app button repeatedly before it opens. Update- Thanks for your response. I'm aware of how it should work. It still doesn't.

Did you accept the sensor message after installation? If not, this may be why it is not working. Please check that everything is enabled in Settings (watch) - App - Permissions - "Digital Black v3". I like this even better than V2 which was previously my favorite. The touch to measure HR complication is much more convenient as I don't have to have a separate complication to open HR.
