I have only had the app for a few days, but I love so many features of the app. I particularly like that I can do large group chats. I teach an online class for my church group, and this app has simplified communication with them. I also like the scheduling feature for sending messages, which allows me to send messages when it's convenient for me but perhaps not the best time of the day for someone else. I also like the Textra Bot feature that gives tips and hints on using the app.

I really like the customizable features so I keep installing Textra on new devices and much prefer it to Samsung's default messaging. I am having an issue where I didn't open a message for a few weeks, and now the notification permanently says "1" indicating there is an unread message. It has been a few months and it won't clear, although I have it set to clear notifications once the message is read. I haven't found a way to manually reset the counter. Maybe dev team can look at that?

Please try the below and report back if it helps: a. Please open Textra > 3 dots on the top right > Mark All as Read. If no good: b. Please clear the cache and mark all as read in your Android Stock / System messaging application then reboot your device. Please report back if the above does not fix your issue to help@textra.me. I've been using Textra for years and paid to have the ad free version. It's normally great, but lately I've been having the worst time with receiving messages from others and them reporting back that they aren't receiving my messages either. I wish this could be fixed because my stock app is awful and I rely on textra for all SMS & MMS. I've tried to resync, but it takes 24+ hrs and nothing changes, but there's also no way for me to actually use the app while it's syncing either. :(
