Solar Smash 2D is a spin off from the original Solar Smash by the same developers, this game was designed to allow for different technology to be utilised and allow for unique destruction mechanics.
It features the ability to break planets into pieces and each planet will float and move with its own physics, players can control or spawn in spaceships and create huge space battles, or you can draw in your own planet with any design you want.

I love this game. Its just as unforgettable as the 3D solar smash, but i just wish there would be new content added! Like the Abyssal Devourer from the 3D Solar Smash, as a playable monster. Or even the Celestial. Or Monarch. Or even the Swarm! Even one of those is fine for me. So, my point is that i wish for new content (even from the 3D version) to be added to this game.

Very good and absolutely recommended if you played the 3D version of it and just wanna do wars. I got this recommended by deepseek (AI) but, its got some problem. This black space is taking some of the space of my screen and doesn't look very appealing and the pirate fraction or whatever, one ship has no logo and its only a white screen. Still works but not very appealing. Please fix it devsš

love it wish there were more things to do space combat-wise as it can feel a bit dry when compared to to it's 3d counterpart also a way to customize and save ships would be appreciated perhaps the higher your reputation with a given faction, the more kinds of said faction's ships you could use outside of more stuff besides those, I don't have all that many complaints great game š
