I have been using this app daily for "memes" for years, but I've finally decided that the issue of it not loading posts after 10 minutes of scrolling is so frustrating, I need to comment about it. every so often, YOU have to go into settings and clear the cache on your phone so you don't just get black squares with a fake refresh button. doesn't matter if you are on wifi or mobile data, it will happen. don't bother with this app, just use the website

App has not updated in a very long time. Videos and pictures are still super small with borders around them, on iOS devices this is not the case. For several months now, this app has a click jacking behavior where it straight up opens the AliExpress app and bombs me with ads. I have this in no other app. I happens every few pages I scroll and is the reason I go to Instagram instead. memes are not exclusive anymore and at least I can skip the ads there after 5 secs.

It's so riddled with ads and uses up all the phone's RAM, so you need to reboot the phone or refresh the RAM from time to time. The app will force open sites now while just looking at the app. Random apps have been installed on my phone this way. Fortunately, my ISP has now been blocking the 9gag app from opening up some sites, warning about suspicious content on the site.
