The reason I give it 3 stars is because of the "schools." They are fun and can help beginners understand the game. It's also fun to replay some of the greatest players in the world games, like Bobby Fischer! But on the flip side, some of them on hard, like "Shogun Stronghold," require you to beat AI on Hard with a timer from a specific setup. Since the timer only counts for you, AI literally just blocks until the timer ends. instead of actually playing chess. That gets OLD FAST! Otherwise 5stars

Impossible to ever enter any kind of flow state as the game will show you ads after EVERY game. You'd think the game would reward consecutive playing with less ads but nope. Which would be fine except for the fact they're those horrible ones that make you have to click their store page to advance. I was enjoying the app up until this point; but I won't be giving money to these devs, and I'd encourage people to look elsewhere for their chess fix.

Hi. You can remove the ads during the gameplay by making any in-app purchase that contains the "no-ads" icon, or you can subscribe to VIP membership which also removes the need to watch the rewarded ads. The ads help us cover server and development costs. Best regards.

I like the various challenges, and I would have given it five stars, but for what reason, it doesn't like working on wifi, so it sucks mobile data. Every other app works fine on wifi, this one likes mobile data.

- When you defeat all 120 island opponents you get a special pet.
