Good UX for this type of puzzle, but it gets pricey pretty quick if you like playing a lot. £3.49 for every 150 puzzles you play, or a £5.49 monthly subscription for unlimited. I miss just buying an app and paying once to get everything. I guess this is the way things are going nowadays. It's still a better business model than the ones full of ads etc., so if you're happy with the cost then definitely give this one a try, it's just not for me.

Glad you liked the UX! We worked hard on that! Sorry we charge at all, but faced with either bloating the app with ads & interruptions, or the cost of a coffee occasionally, we went with the latter. Most apps have an ad-supported business model but we’ve chosen to be more like the puzzle magazines of times past. It respects the puzzles & players.

Only has 50 plays before you have to reload and you begin repeating the same puzzles quite rapidly. It doesn't feel like there's a reason to check the app after the first 50 plays. UI needs improvement. It doesn't feel intuitive. No check puzzle button to verify without getting a hint. There isn't a timer either, when time seems to be important.

Thanks for this feedback! With no ads, no locked clues or levels, we're trying to balance how many puzzles should be free. We'd really like to know what feels clunky & what UI improvements would help? We're not done improving the app yet! We'll check the rating prompt. It is supposed to be at a quiet time 😅. Deceptive - harder than it looks! This is fantastic for kicking the brain cells into another gear! And it doesn't have ads or annoying stuff going on so you can really focus on just playing the game and testing your sense of logic. I've loved all of the Egghead games I've tried. The best part is if you get stuck and think the puzzle is just unworkable, you can email them to show where you're stuck and they will respond pretty quickly and help you past the sticking point! Love this!

Stuck? Rotate the board! Tap the new arrows above the board to spin it 90° in either direction — a fresh angle often reveals patterns you've missed.
Added hints now cover every board position. Suggestion: use Hint -> Suggest Move to improve your skills!
