About this game

Deep within an ant colony, every cycle could be the last.
ANTagony is a roguelite visual novel with a dark, mesmerizing atmosphere, where you play as a worker ant bound to a partner whose decisions influence yours and vice versa. Together, you must navigate more than 50 life-or-death dilemmas: cooperate or betray, sacrifice yourself or survive, protect the colony or preserve your own integrity.

Every choice alters four key parameters: trust, fatigue, risk, and group cohesion. Each decision opens or closes thousands of narrative paths. No run is ever the same.

But death is not the end. The game remembers your past runs: your betrayals, sacrifices, and imperfect victories accumulate in a persistent memory that shapes future cycles.

Unlock up to 25 distinct endings: some peaceful, some devastating, and others reserved for veterans who have seen it all.

The world comes to life through the wildlife photography of Jacques Julien, whose close-range fieldwork with ants gives each scene an unsettling sense of authenticity. Original musical compositions, created specifically for the game, accompany every dilemma with a unique atmosphere, sometimes oppressive, sometimes strangely gentle.

A game about trust, the collective, and what we become when we can’t control everything. Inspired by the prisoner's dilemma. Played from the inside.

50+ dilemmas · 25 endings · Thousands of branching paths · Persistent legacy · Original photography & music
