About this app

Learn kanji the way your brain actually remembers — through pictures and stories, not rote memorization.

Kanji Card is a Japanese learning app that uses picture mnemonics and visual memory techniques to help you remember kanji faster and keep them longer. Perfect for beginners and JLPT N5 and N4 learners.

How It Works
- Each kanji is paired with a vivid mnemonic image that connects the character's shape to its meaning. You see the image once and the kanji clicks.
- Our smart memory system then tracks your progress and schedules reviews at just the right intervals — so you review only what you need to, when you need to.

Key Features
- Visual mnemonic images for every kanji — see the meaning, not just memorize it
- Spaced repetition system (SRS) — intelligent review scheduling that maximizes retention
- Memory challenge games — fun ways to reinforce what you've learned
- Native Japanese speaker audio — hear real pronunciation for every word
- JLPT N5 and N4 kanji — full coverage for beginner Japanese exams
- Clean, distraction-free design — focused on learning, not noise

Who Is This For?
- Beginners who want to start learning Japanese kanji from scratch
- Students preparing for the JLPT N5 or N4 exam
- Learners who tried traditional flashcard apps and found them too dry
- Anyone who wants to recognize kanji quickly in real Japanese text

Download Kanji Card free and discover why visual learning makes kanji easier than you ever thought possible.

Good app. Helps a lot. Been using this since 2024. Already completed last year all the lessons and memorized. Please add N3 and N2. お願いします。 Also, I love the design and the characters, cute, and of course the quiz game. I loved 'Fill in Compound' game the most. Easy to use and fast app. The fee is affordable and worth it. Will definitely subscribe again once N3 is added.

Finally found a perfect kanji learning app for me! It's fun, affordable, and easy to use. The drawings also help me to easily remember the kanji as they're creative. Also, Kanji Card immensely improved my kanji knowledge, as it's my nightmare when studying nihongo. Although this app's description only implied N5 and N4, it would have been nice if there are also N3 - N1. And I suggest the developers to put stroking order or how to write kanji, so other users would also remember it by hand :)

First time learning Kanji, this app makes it fun and addictive. In 2 days I have learned 71 of them! What was surprising is that I had a ton of fun and I couldn't stop. You need to get a subscription to keep going after a while, I am someone who doesn't do subscriptions and I have bought maybe 4 apps in my life. With this it was an instant purchase. I'm not sure why this is a subscription model, if they add more Kanji I will stay subscribed.
