The built-in Hiya spam filtering on my Samsung phone would sometimes block calls from numbers in my contact list and was still letting some spam calls through. This app allows me to send calls from every number not in my contact list straight to voice-mail and saves me half a dozen spam calls a day. It's easily one of the most useful apps on my phone.

Was working well but recently I can no longer use wildcards (i.e. *) in the Blacklist for numbers. The asterisk key simply won't type anymore while entering characters in the Blacklist. UPDATE: Thanks. The fix worked and it now works as it once did. I appreciate it. Great app once again and the edit to.my review reflects that.

This was caused by an Android keyboard update: the * key stopped working in numeric fields. We have already fixed this on our side. Please update Callfilter.app to the latest version and try again.

Pointless. All this app appears to do is list your recent calls with my identifying information and relying on other users to make notations. Since spam callers frequently change parts of their numbers, unless it's the exact same digits, the go-to remarks are blank, no further information given. What's the point of yet another useless app for addressing out-of-control spam plague.
