About this game

Reigns: The Witcher is the latest mutation of the smash-hit swipe ‘em up Reigns series from Nerial and Devolver Digital, set this time in the merciless, dark-fantasy world of CD PROJEKT RED’s award-winning The Witcher series. As Geralt of Rivia, legendary monster slayer of the School of the Wolf, you will fight for survival within the drunken ballads of his dear friend, Dandelion the bard. Will you hunt monsters, upset the locals, or run a hot bath? Navigate the moral meanderings of the world through the eyes of the bard. Swipe right, swipe left, seek glory, find death! Compose an inspiring epic to perhaps, one day, claim immortality.

Review: Reigns: The Witcher – A Loop of Frustration After spending three weeks with Reigns: The Witcher, the initial charm of seeing Geralt and his friends in a simplified, "Tinder-style" RPG has officially worn thin. What starts as a clever experiment eventually turns into a tedious grind that feels more like a chore than a monster hunt. The Good: Art and Atmosphere The character art is fantastic. Unlocking the different "fates" for characters like Yennefer, Jaskier, and Ciri is the highlight

No idea what I'm supposed to be doing or what decision will lead to a death. Zero instruction, tutorial, or any kind of direction. and like everyone else said, the combat is so unresponsive, unintuitive, and just un-fun.

This is really creative and adds so many features that it takes me back to reading the books and playing the games. one downside is that swiping Geralt's sprite in the combat mode is really finicky and caused me to die needlessly. otherwise, the writing is good and there are a ton of options as far as the cards go.
