Recorder

I needed a free, easy to use recording app to have a record of reoccurring sometimes violent emotional abuse I have been dealing with for many years. This one works well & seemed to be what I needed since it didn't make any noises & I use my phone as usual except microphone & it continues to record. I noticed today it has taken $10.79 out of my PayPal. NOT COOL! Theres a $2.99 plan, but it chose higher $ one. I cancelled. I'm on SSDI & must watch each penny. I NEED MY MONEY BACK PLEASE!!

what a ridiculous idea to not be saving files to internal storage by default, but keeping them in app data. The app stopped working one day and the suggested solution was to 'uninstall updates'. After doing that, I found all of my recordings to have been erased and not possible to recover (I wasn't backing up to the cloud since I don't pay for G drive). Thanks a lot Google.

The app essentially nags you into turning privacy settings down. I don't want Recorder to be able to record in the background. I set it this way on purpose. Yet every time I start a recording, I have to go through a pop-up warning me that background recording is blocked. Yeees. Because that's what I set it to. Please allow me to dismiss this pop-up permanently.
