It works, but it's not the same as it used to be. It used to always be on, and I could check my history and see music that played in the background throughout my day. Now I'm the one who has to actively listen and decide to pull out my phone, navigate to the app, and tap the button. My history tab only shows a list of the songs I did this for. The same functionality already exists in the YouTube music app search bar, so this is no longer helpful.

App went way downhill after the last update. It fails to detect songs (automatically or manually) most of the time and the changes to favorites are atrocious. instead of a single heart to toggle, you now need to click the 3 dots and select add/remove from favorites. I can also no longer easily add a song to favorites without unlocking my phone. Whoever is dictating these changes is clueless about user experience.

Before I could see if the song was in my favr. just with a quick look and add the songs to favorites with one click. now I need to klick at least twice and not always reaction time is efficient and accurate and sometimes is freezing. Also before the list of the favorite songs were sorted and now it's totally random... to find the song you liked a few days ago, it's nearly impossible if you don't remember the exact name, which is one of the reasons to save it in the first place
